Hey Campers!

We wanted to share with you some activities you can do at home that might help you relax and ease your worries during this wacky, upside-down time in our world. Here are some important things to remember:

1. Talking to other people who understand what you’re going through can help you feel less alone and isolated. Use texting, social media, or apps like Houseparty, Facetime and Zoom to check in with your camp friends, school friends and family and chat about your day. If you’re feeling really old-school, you can even call someone!!

2. Lean into the things that make you feel your best. It might be reading, music, dancing, writing, exercise, or something else you love. Find that thing and DO IT!

3. Get outside and enjoy NATURE! Fresh air and sunlight can do wonders for your energy levels and attitude. Think about your favorite outdoor camp activities and try to replicate them at home! (Not archery, though. Leave that to the pros!)

4. Breathe in. Breathe out. Repeat. Deep breathing actually signals your brain to help you relax and feel better.

5. Repeat after me: I AM OK. These feelings won’t last forever. You’ve got this.
