Add 3 spoonfuls of baking soda to the bottom of your bottle. Use a funnel for less mess!

Fill water bottle ⅔ with vegetable oil. Leave enough space at the top of the water bottle for the magic to happen!

Fill a small bowl halfway with vinegar. Choose the color you want your bottle to be, and add a few drops of food coloring to the vinegar.

Add a few drops of the dyed vinegar to the bottle and watch your lava dance!
Tips

Keep it to two or three drops of the desired color of food coloring. If the mixture is too dark, the lava effect is not as noticeable.

Add the vinegar slowly to make the effect last longer. When you run out, just mix some more with food coloring.

Hold a flashlight under the bottle for a glowing effect!
