Legacy funds are an impactful way to honor the memory of a loved one. A Legacy Fund is set up at Experience Camps to create an everlasting impact, providing joy, hope, and support for grieving children in the name of a person whose own values and spirit reflect those of our mission. A percentage of the fund is used each year to cover the cost of one or more campers, allowing the impact of this legacy to exist in perpetuity. By growing the fund through investment income and additional contributions, the impact becomes even greater.

What is a legacy fund?
A legacy fund is set up at Experience Camps to create an everlasting impact, providing
joy, hope, and support for grieving children in the name of a person whose own values
and spirit reflect those of our mission. Legacy funds represent a significant and
meaningful contribution by a donor that invests in the mission of Experience Camps in
perpetuity.
How does a legacy fund support Experience Camps?
A percentage of the fund is used each year to cover the cost of one or more campers,
allowing the impact of the legacy to exist in perpetuity. By growing the fund through
investment income and additional contributions, the impact becomes even greater.
Is there a minimum donation to establish a legacy fund?
Yes, the minimum gift to establish a legacy fund is $100,000.
What is the process for starting a legacy fund?
1. Donor Agreement
Following in-depth conversations with the donor, a final donation
agreement is reached and confirmed in writing.
2. Experience Camps Opens the Account
3. Donor Transfers Funds to the Account
4. Experience Camps Manages and Tracks the Account
– A minimum of 5% of the individual account will be transferred per year to
support the organization’s operations.
5. Donor Impact Updates
Experience Camps will provide the donor with ongoing updates about how
their donation was used to support programs.
The fund may be augmented by additional gifts once it is established, and
the donor may continue to contribute to the fund.
