Many of us are counting the days until temperatures rise and those first buds appear. In the meantime, below is some joy that is blooming in our world. And we hope our featured image, a memory from camp last year, sparks some joy right now!

1. Scheduling joy while grieving

Sometimes it seems so hard to muster the energy to plan happy moments while grieving. But our Director of Communications explains why we should do it anyway and how doing so informed her parenting.

2. Grief Quest makes a splash!

Last month we launched “Grief Quest,” a scavenger hunt on Roblox that teaches kids how to support those who are grieving. In just two weeks, the game had 100,000 visits, and over 3,000 players lit virtual candles in memory of someone who died.

3. Get ready for Experience: NYC!

We’re thrilled to once again host our annual Experience: NYC event on May 11th at a new location: Sony Hall. Get ready for an inspiring night of camper stories, cocktails, amazing food, and feel-great energy! Early Bird tickets are on sale now.

4. Help us recruit male volunteers

Our volunteer counselor list is filling but we still need awesome male-identifying counselors and could use your help! Know anyone great who is looking for a fun way to give back? Please encourage them to apply!

5. Will you give to our new campaign?

Our “Transforming Tomorrow Campaign” kicks off this month, and we’re aiming to raise $50,000 by March 31 to transform the lives of thousands more grieving kids. Will you make a donation?

6. Run the 2023 NYC Marathon FTK!

We’re thrilled to be selected again as an Official Charity Partner for the 2023 TCS NYC Marathon! We’ve been allocated 10 coveted spots in one of the country’s flagship marathons. Want to run an amazing race for the kids (FTK)? Apply here.
