AMP, Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Zcash (ZEC), Gemini Dollar (GUSD), Basic Attention Token (BAT), Storj, Dai, 0x, and ChainLink (LINK).
How do you handle cryptocurrency donations?
Our policy is to convert all cryptocurrency donations to USD through an instant exchange. While cryptocurrency is very exciting, we want to put your donations to work for our kids immeadiately.
Can I donate from outside the U.S.?
Bitcoin is a global payment network and anyone with a bitcoin digital wallet can donate bitcoin to Experience Camps.
Are U.S donors eligible for tax deductions?
In March 2014, the IRS issued guidance that bitcoin is to be treated as a property for Federal tax purposes. See more here: http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/IRS-Virtual-Currency-Guidance.
Given the IRS guidance that bitcoin is to be treated as property, donating bitcoin offers compelling tax benefits. Donating appreciated property to charity is an often overlooked tax strategy. It allows taxpayers to deduct donated property that would otherwise be subject to capital gains tax. When you make a bitcoin donation on our link, you will receive an email receipt of the transaction. Donors should consult with a tax advisor for properly recording this donation on personal tax return.
How do I buy bitcoin?
Visit bitcoin.org for information on how to buy, sell, make purchases and donations with a bitcoin wallet.
Refund policy
All donations are final, however Experience Camps reserves the right to refund donations at our discretion.
